Who we are
The mission of Calvary Bible Fellowship is "to know Christ and to make Him known." This is our passion and drive. As a congregation, we strive to faithfully study and preach the Scriptures (which is God's revelation to us) to draw closer to Him in an intimate way. In addition, we also seek to spread this joy of knowing God through Christ with others.
We are committed to faithful teaching and preaching of the Word of God. We promote expository preaching, biblical accountability, and biblical discipleship. We also believe that God has given all members of the body of Christ special/spiritual gifts (1 Peter 4:10). We believe these gifts are common property of the church and should therefore be used to edify and serve the church of God.
It is man's chief purpose "to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever." This means we are to live in a manner pleasing to God. The Scriptures tell us that without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6).
Therefore, we desire to live a life of faith in God which produces a life of faithfulness to God. In addition, we believe that "God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him." Hence, we seek to find our joy and rest in God.
